Cooking doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. After all, people are more likely to sustain lifestyle changes if these changes are enjoyable, realistic and appropriate considering your schedule. Therefore, today’s recipe is one of my favourite “lazy meals”. These Speedy Naan Pizzas are ready faster than take-out!

Naan pizzas are also completely customizable based on your groceries on hand and/or personal preferences. I love making Greek-Style Naan Pizzas using feta, black olives, peppers and chicken or a simple Caprese Pizza with buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. I’m certainly sure to keep naan bread in the freezer for times where I need a 15-20 minute meal! These pizzas also are great served cold in lunches the next day!


  • Serves: 2
  • Cook time: 8-10 minutes
  • Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of whole grain naan bread
  • 4 Tbsp pizza sauce
  • Sprinkle oregano, dried
  • 5 mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ pepper, sliced
  • ½ tomato, sliced
  • ½ cup mozzarella and cheddar cheese, grated

Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley and basil

Instructions for Speedy Naan Pizzas:

  1. Firstly, pre-heat oven to 350F.
  2. Secondly, cut and clean veggies of choice. Grate cheese.
  3. Spread pizza sauce on top of naan bread. Sprinkle dried oregano.
  4. Top pizza with cheese and veggies.
  5. Finally, bake for about 8-10 minutes; or until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
