Winter Spicy Roasted Chickpeas
Colder weather calls for oven meals, like roasted chickpeas! It’s also an easy way to keep the home warm and have savoury aromas fill your living quarters. Whenever I have the oven on, I often toss in a tray of chickpeas. They are very quick to assemble for cooking and perfect for a snack or added to an entrée like a Buddha bowl. There are also endless roasted chickpea flavour possibilities from sweet to savoury. Here is my recipe for Winter Spicy Roasted Chickpeas. I certainly hope you enjoy!
Are you worried about canned foods vs. fresh? There’s no need! In short, the nutrition facts remain relatively unchanged during canning. Check out my post on canned vegetables to understand why and learn more about the canning process!
Note: Choose your preference in crunch. The longer you roast them, the crunchier they become. For example, I cook them on the lower end of the cooking time as I like crunch with a little softness inside.
